Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Located in Terrell, TX

Salary: $19/hr+ DOE

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a company in Terrell to fill a Shipping and Receiving Clerk role!

• Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm
•  Responsible for the timely scheduling of shipments related to customer orders, customer returns, and outside vendors.
• Coordinates with freight carriers and delivery drivers to ensure smooth dispatch.
• Accurately and timely prepares shipping documentation such as bills of lading, and manifest for outgoing shipments.
• Responsible for validating that products are properly packaged, labeled, and ready for shipment.
• Coordinates with quality team associates and validates that all documentation required for shipment such as but not limited to, product deviations, PPAP, First Article, and Pre-Delivery Inspection are available and properly attached to shipment when required.
• Responsible for the proper loading and securing of goods to ensure people and product safety.
• Coordinate and assist in receiving shipments and verifying documentation.
• Responsible for unloading, inspecting, labeling and receiving materials into the warehouse management system.
• Able to communicate professionally and effectively with other departments such as purchasing, logistics and production, and customer shipping and receiving personnel when required.
• Safety operates forklifts (certification required), pallet jacks, band and wrapping machines.
• Assists in training and mentoring new warehouse associates.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area during shift and performs end of shift clean-up activities to put away tools, equipment, materials, and supplies, cleaning machines, sweeping floor, and throwing out trash.
• Performs any other duties or activities required by supervisors and managers
• Follows all company policies and safety guidelines
