Solid Waste AssistantNATURE OF WORKResponsible for cleaning and maintaining the grounds and directing traffic entering and exiting the area.Work involves routine and non-routine manual work, often of a repetitive nature and requiring the use of manual and power tools and equipment. Work is performed in adverse climate conditions. Works in a dusty environment, may be exposed to fumes.Work is performed under regular supervision whom may not be physically present at all times.The position would entail but possibly not be limited to:Picking up windblown trashWeed eatingPossible operation of a "Z" mowerThe employee must have the capability to do a fair amount of walking on flat ground as well as the sloped landfill.The hours would be 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday/Friday. The employee would be docked 30 minutes each day for lunch.We would provide:Safety VestsSafety GlassesHard Hats (if necessary)
Associate must have steel toed boots and long pants.
