Our client located in Elgin, is looking for a Buyer to join their team!
This is a Direct Hire position. In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing, inventory management, supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. You’ll play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and supporting production needs.

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

In this position, you will:

• Generate and approve purchase orders
• Manage supplier relationships and performance metrics
• Negotiate pricing agreements and qualify new suppliers
• Maintain inventory levels and generate stocking reports
• Coordinate with production for workflow and inventory counts
• Record purchasing data in ERP and Salesforce systems
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485:2016 standards

Qualifications:

• APICS or related certification preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a related position
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• MRP experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-lookup, graphs, VB automation)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
