Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hybrid schedule (In-office Tuesday-Thursday)
Job Details: We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Safety Manager to lead, implement, and grow the organization’s Health & Safety program. This role will play a critical part in building a strong safety culture across the company with the goal of zero injuries. The Safety Manager will partner closely with leadership and field teams to develop proactive safety programs, manage workers’ compensation, reduce lost workdays, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage strategic health and safety programs across residential and light commercial work environments

Create, maintain, and update safety plans, policies, procedures, manuals, MSDS binders, IIPPs, and required documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Develop and deliver ongoing safety training including onboarding, OSHA, defensive driving, ladder safety, lifting techniques, and certifications; maintain accurate training records

Lead and support safety committees and safety meetings while promoting a company-wide culture of safety

Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and proactively reduce risk

Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near-misses; analyze trends and implement corrective actions

Manage and recommend safety equipment, PPE, and related supplies

Oversee workers’ compensation claims, OSHA logs, occupational clinic relationships, injury management, light duty accommodations, and return-to-work programs

Track, analyze, and report safety metrics, loss control data, and trends to drive continuous improvement

Collaborate with leadership to build out and execute safety strategies and priorities
Qualifications/Requirements:

5+ years of progressive workplace safety experience; minimum 3 years in a safety management role

Experience in construction, home services, manufacturing, or similar industries strongly preferred

Demonstrated expertise with OSHA regulations, hazard communication, fall protection, ladder safety, and lockout/tagout

Strong experience working with Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and auto insurance providers, including L&I, TPA’s, and Retro Programs

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, related field, or equivalent experience

Proven ability to build and implement health & safety programs from the ground up

Collaborative, flexible approach with the ability to adapt as programs and processes evolve

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends; advanced Excel skills preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong coaching and consulting abilities

Ability to travel approximately 15–20% (monthly travel to West Coast locations, primarily California)

Ability to conduct field inspections that may include walking job sites, climb ladders, and observing work activities
