Overview:

Join our team as a Level II Project Engineer and take the lead on network design, cloud migrations, and Microsoft 365 administration projects. This role is perfect for IT professionals with MSP experience who thrive in multi-client environments and want to work on complex IT infrastructure and cybersecurity solutions. You’ll handle advanced troubleshooting, ensure compliance, and deliver high-performance solutions for our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the escalation point for Level I technicians and team members.
  • Support client requests, including projects and help desk inquiries.
  • Design and implement network solutions for performance, reliability, and scalability (including disaster recovery and business continuity).
  • Configure and troubleshoot DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, VLANs, Wireless, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Execute technical deployments: develop implementation plans and perform hands-on work.
  • Provide engineering support for existing infrastructure: VPN setup, data migrations, monitoring solutions, intrusion prevention.
  • Monitor network performance and recommend improvements.
  • Respond to help desk incidents when not assigned to projects.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with best practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / M365
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent

Technical Skills:

  • MSP tools: RMM (NinjaOne, Datto, ConnectWise), PSA (HaloPSA, Autotask)
  • Core technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365/M365, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
  • Backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Cybersecurity awareness: MFA, endpoint protection, phishing prevention

Experience:

  • Previous MSP experience highly preferred
  • 1–3 years in IT support or systems administration
  • Familiarity with SLAs and ticketing workflows

Additional Plus:

  • Azure/AWS, VMware/Hyper-V, scripting (PowerShell, Python)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills (client-facing and internal)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets/projects
  • Customer service mindset with empathy and patience
