We are seeking an experienced Outage Coordinator/Planner to support a large heavy industrial plant in Alcoa, TN. This position plays a critical role in planning, coordinating, and executing plant outages to ensure safety, efficiency, and timely completion. The ideal candidate will have strong field experience and proven expertise in outage planning, scheduling, and execution.

Key Responsibilities
Outage Planning & Execution:

• Develop detailed outage scopes, schedules, and execution plans for both planned and unplanned outages.
• Create and maintain Gantt charts to define critical paths, task dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate activities across maintenance, operations, engineering, safety, and contractors.
• Track outage progress and support post-outage reviews.

Schedule & Cost Control:

• Monitor labor hours and contractor performance during outages.
• Identify risks to schedule and recommend mitigation strategies.

Continuous Improvement:

- Enhance outage planning processes and promote best practices.

Required Qualifications

- 3–7+ years of experience in maintenance and outage planning.
- Proven experience planning and coordinating plant outages or shutdowns.
- Proficiency in Gantt chart tools or similar scheduling software.
- Hands-on experience working with maintenance crews.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.

Education & Additional Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or procurement.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).

Preferred:

Experience with procurement, construction materials, MRP/ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
Professional certifications (CPM, APICS, P.E.) are a plus.
