Tool & Die Machinist- Direct Hire

A Michigan-based company is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist for their Farmington location. This is a Direct Hire position.

What you’ll be doing as the Tool & Die Machinist

• Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of tools and dies, including lathes, Bridgeport mills, and grinding machines
• Apply precision machining techniques to ensure tools and dies meet exact specifications, tolerances, and quality standards
• Diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair tooling issues, making precise adjustments to maintain optimal performance and reliability
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the service life of tools and equipment
• Inspects previously used tools, dies, and fixtures to identify maintenance needs, wear patterns, and opportunities for process or design improvement

What we look for in a Tool & Die Machinist

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in tool and die repair
• Journeyman Tool & Die Certification preferred
• Proficient in the repair and maintenance of single-hit, progressive, transfer, and compound dies, with a strong understanding of machining processes and techniques
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Additional information for the Tool & Die Machinist

• $22-$24.50/hr.
• Monday-Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
• Farmington, MI
