Summary of Position: As the Controller, you'll be at the helm of the accounting department, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accurate records, collaborating with auditors, and driving strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Lead the direction of the accounting department, overseeing the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts with precision.
  • Reporting Excellence: Prepare precise and timely financial statements and annual budgets to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to the Accounting and Payroll Departments, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Compliance Management: Work closely with auditors and insurance representatives to ensure adherence to State and Federal requirements.
  • Forecasting and Analysis: Develop financial forecasts and generate insightful reports to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Policy and Control Maintenance: Uphold and refine accounting policies and controls to safeguard financial integrity.
  • Asset Management: Maintain accurate fixed asset records and cultivate strong relationships with banking partners to ensure compliance.
  • Special Assignments: Take on special projects and additional duties as needed to support the company's strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
