Heavy equipment rental manager is needed immediately to oversee the daily operations of a rental fleet, including equipment availability, and maintenance.

Key responsibilities involve managing rental agreements, coordinating logistics and deliveries, and ensuring customer satisfaction by helping them select the right machinery for their needs. This role also includes administrative duties like billing, inventory tracking, and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Equipment includes Caterpillar earthmoving machines, aerial lifts, generators, and more. Must also ensure inventory is accurate and that all operations comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Core responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting appropriate equipment by understanding their needs.
• Negotiate rates and terms for rentals and sales.
• Create rental agreements and handle customer inquiries and issues.
• Support sales and marketing efforts and build customer relationships.
• Oversee the scheduling of equipment deliveries and returns.
• Track equipment inventory and ensure optimal utilization.
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and service technicians.
• Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
• Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain parts inventory and manage the maintenance facility.

Required skills and qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction equipment, including its operation and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and projects effectively.
• A valid driver's license is required. Pre-employment process includes a drug test & background check
