Salary: $140,000 - $175,000/Year
We are currently assisting with recruitment of an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join a preferred employer in Sarnia Lambton.
This position will make significant contributions to support the 2026 Turnaround. The ideal candidate will oversee complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Duties:
- Scope includes the mechanical replacement of reformer catalyst tubes including spring supports, outlet header piping system and the feed/steam inlet piping to the upper manifold
- Replacement of the 35 Tonne HHPD heat exchanger and the associated piping
- Replacement activities will require a significant amount of Turnaround coordination to ensure all crane movements, welding activities (including PWHT & NDE testing), refractory, insulation and catalyst replacement can be achieved in the required duration
- Responsible for leading multidiscipline project teams to design, organize, schedule, and execute project plans
- Monitor Engineering contractors to ensure that project replacements are performed in strict conformity with design specifications and applicable code requirements
- Coordination of Construction contractors to ensure that project objectives are achieved, including safety compliance, scope of work, cost control, and schedule adherence
- Work closely with TA team to ensure that project schedules and resources will align with other TA activities
- Oversee the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion in a timely manner
- Develop Project tracking sheets for forecasting progress and expected cash flows
- Lead the Management of Change (MOC) process
- Actively participate in the turnaround planning and execution process
Required Skills:
- Engineering degree, Mechanical discipline preferred
- Seven or more years’ related experience
- Experienced in project management and implementation
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
Wage: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00/Year
