Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder for an industrial project. Candidates must demonstrate advanced pipe welding skills and pass a radiographic (X-ray) weld test as a condition of employment.

Weld Test Requirement (Mandatory)

To qualify for employment, candidates must pass the following X-ray weld test:

• 2-inch pipe weld

• 6G position

• Root and hot pass using TIG

• Filler and cap using Stick (SMAW)

• Material: Carbon steel

Failure to pass radiographic inspection will result in disqualification.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience in an industrial environment

• Ability to properly perform back gouging to ensure full penetration and weld integrity

• Experience welding pipe in the 6G position

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel pipe

• Execute proper back gouging techniques as required by weld procedures

• Maintain weld quality to meet X-ray and inspection standards

• Follow all safety, quality control, and jobsite procedures

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
