A growing food manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Customer Service Representative to manage customer orders and support sales and operations teams. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate order processing, proactive communication, and a high level of customer service from purchase order through shipment.
As the primary point of contact for order-related inquiries, you will work closely with internal sales, production, logistics, quality, and accounting teams to ensure customer expectations are met consistently. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys coordination, problem-solving, and building strong working relationships across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage customer purchase orders accurately
- Monitor order status, production timelines, and shipments
- Communicate order updates and resolve issues proactively
- Serve as a liaison between customers, sales, and internal teams
- Support Account Managers with order visibility and documentation
- Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Quality, Accounting, and Supply Chain
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, and invoices
- Adhere to food safety and quality system requirements
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of customer service or order management experience
- Manufacturing, food, or beverage industry experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus
