Delivery Driver/Warehouse

Position Summary
The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Specialist supports shipping, receiving, and delivery operations by transporting mail, packages, and materials between locations and performing warehouse receiving functions. This role ensures accurate documentation, tracking, and distribution of incoming and outgoing items while providing backup support across shipping and receiving operations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, and document deliveries against purchase orders

• Enter and maintain accurate records in computerized receiving systems

• Transport mail, packages, and materials between locations using an organization-owned vehicle

• Load and unload delivery vehicles, mail carts, and warehouse equipment safely

• Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages; process outgoing shipments (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)

• Follow up on damaged items, shortages, and overages; coordinate with departments and vendors

• Operate postage meter and maintain shipping records

• Assist with inventory control, stock tracking, and periodic reporting

• Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Minimum two (2) years of shipping/receiving experience

• Minimum one (1) year of on-the-job driving experience

• Valid Oregon driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

• Basic to intermediate computer skills and accurate data entry ability

• Ability to lift and move items weighing 50+ lbs. regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree

• Forklift Operator Certification

• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and record-keeping practices

• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles safely

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with staff and vendors

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Primarily indoor warehouse environment with moderate noise

• Occasional outdoor exposure and operation of delivery vehicles

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and material handling

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally

Additional Information

• Temporary, on-call position; hours scheduled based on operational needs

• Not to exceed 599 hours per calendar year

• Position is at-will and not eligible for benefits

• Employment contingent upon successful completion of background check, work capacity evaluation, and drug screen
