Position Summary
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll using Paylocity HRIS. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, maintains payroll records, and provides payroll-related support to employees and management. The Payroll Administrator works closely with Human Resources and Finance to ensure data integrity across payroll, benefits, and timekeeping systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Process bi-weekly (or weekly/semi-monthly) payroll for all employees using Paylocity
• Maintain and audit employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions, and tax information
• Administer time and attendance data, ensuring accuracy of hours, PTO, Vacation and leave balances
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and tax requirements
• Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and benefit deductions
• Manage payroll-related filings, including tax reports, garnishments, and year-end processing (W-2s)
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with HR on benefits administration, deductions, and employee data changes within Paylocity
• Maintain payroll documentation and ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information
• Support audits and provide payroll data as requested
• Assist with system updates, testing, and process improvements within Paylocity

Required Qualifications
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Hands-on experience with Paylocity HRIS is preferred or another related payroll platform
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage and hour compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to handle large quantity of employees
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
