Job Summary:

We are seeking hardworking, dependable General Laborers to join our landscaping team. This role involves physically demanding outdoor work, primarily laying sod in hot, asphalt-heavy environments such as parking lots. Candidates must be comfortable working in extreme heat and doing repetitive manual tasks throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lay sod rolls and pieces accurately and efficiently on prepared surfaces

• Rake, level, and prepare soil as needed for sod placement

• Transport and position sod from pallets or trucks using wheelbarrows or by hand

• Water newly laid sod to ensure proper installation

• Clean up work areas, dispose of debris, and maintain a safe job site

• Follow directions from crew leaders and supervisors

• Adhere to safety guidelines, especially in high-heat and asphalt-heavy environments

• Assist with other general landscaping duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods

• Comfortable working in extreme outdoor conditions (heat, sun, asphalt surfaces)

• Previous landscaping or outdoor labor experience is a plus, but not required

• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction well

• Reliable transportation to job sites or meeting locations

• Must be punctual and dependable

• Work is conducted outdoors in all weather conditions

• Frequent exposure to heat and hot surfaces, including asphalt

• Long hours on feet, often in direct sunlight
