Shipping/ Receiving Dock Worker

Salary: $20.00 - $22.00

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Dock Worker is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying inventory, and ensuring the dock area operates efficiently and safely. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and products

• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company and customer specifications

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely

• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safety protocols

• Verify shipment contents and match with purchase orders or invoices

• Label, sort, and stock incoming items in appropriate storage locations

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving dock area

• Report damaged or missing items to supervisors

• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits

• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics experience preferred

• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Basic computer skills or familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Good communication skills and teamwork mentality

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with exposure to various temperatures

• Frequent lifting, bending, and standing

• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
