Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is a critical member of our operations team, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and facility systems. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with problem-solving skills to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.

You will perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, assist in equipment installation and upgrades, and work cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Preventive Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment, building systems, and utilities to minimize downtime
  • Maintain and update preventive maintenance (PM) records and logs using CMMS or tracking systems
  • Inspect machinery, identify wear or potential failure points, and proactively address issues

Corrective Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and interpret ladder logic where applicable
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls to restore production quickly and safely
  • Collaborate with machine operators, engineers, and external vendors to resolve issues efficiently

Equipment Installation & Process Support

  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and relocation of manufacturing equipment
  • Support continuous improvement projects, including equipment upgrades and process optimization
  • Fabricate or modify components using welding, machining, or mechanical assembly techniques
  • Validate system functionality and assist in training operators on new or updated equipment

Inventory & Documentation

  • Track and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components
  • Initiate purchase requests for replacement parts and consumables
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and repairs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with strong emphasis on electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Electrical schematics
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
    • Mechanical blueprints
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems (480V, motor controls, VFDs, etc.)
    • Hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Vacuum systems and process equipment
    • HVAC systems
    • Welding and fabrication basics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in Electrical Maintenance, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • Experience in advanced manufacturing, metals, or materials processing environments
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking software
  • PLC programming or advanced diagnostics experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)

Work Environment
