One of the nation’s fastest growing construction companies is seeking a seasoned HRBP to lead their West Region. This is a newly created role due to the expansion of the Western region. Remote role with 15% travel.
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and leaders in designated business units. The position creates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains a high degree of business acumen, understands financial and workforce drivers, cultural influences, and operational discipline required to deliver annual and long-term goals.
What You Get to Do!
• Lead the development, documentation through creation of job aids and SOPs, and implementation of scalable HR processes and workflows to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
• Design and execute change management communication strategies to ensure clear messaging and stakeholder alignment
• Manage cross-functional workforce initiatives, such as workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning in partnership with Learning and Development and IT roadmap.
• Analyze project outcomes and provide actionable insights to refine strategies and improve operational effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and reports, including data-driven insights, visuals, and strategic recommendations, tailored to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Transition to direct support of a business unit, serving as the primary HR partner for leadership and employees.
• Drive people strategies that enable the business unit to achieve short- and long-term objectives.
• Lead change initiatives within the unit, including workforce development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Provide expert consultation on employee relations, organizational culture, and engagement strategies.
• Provide performance management guidance to business leaders through coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Work closely with leaders and employees to increase workforce productivity, engagement, and employee retention.
• Ensure HR practices align with regulatory requirements and minimize legal risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR-related aspects of M&A, including workforce assessments, integration timelines, and communications planning.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with employee transitions, role changes, and company cultural integration.
• Develop tools and resources to streamline M&A processes for future acquisitions.
• Collaborate with the Total Rewards team to deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring workforce representation aligns with market demographics.
What You Will Bring…
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required, Masters preferred. SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in HR discipline, or general business consulting experience, or business leadership serving an employee population of 1,000 or more employees.
• Extensive knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws. Must have extensive California employment law experience.
• Multi-site location customer/HR support experience.
• Strong analytical and Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate and/or distributed branch environment.
