The Quality Analyst supports quality control and quality assurance activities within a dietary supplement manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for reviewing documentation, inspecting materials and products, and ensuring compliance with quality standards prior to release into production or distribution. The position works closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, and the Quality Manager to resolve discrepancies and maintain product integrity.
Review, approve, and release incoming raw materials used in the dietary supplement manufacturing process
Review documentation and analytical results to release finished products
Perform in-process quality inspections, including identifying and removing defective capsules from the production line
Conduct basic analytical testing and in-process checks per established procedures
Document and investigate non-conformances and out-of-specification conditions
Support root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
Communicate quality issues promptly to Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, and other appropriate teams
Assist the Quality Manager with quality control and quality assurance initiatives
Assemble and process raw material and finished product samples for contract laboratory analysis
Provide training and guidance as required per established procedures
Other duties as assigned
Act as a Quality Control representative supporting production activities
Support manufacturing by troubleshooting and resolving internal out-of-specification processes
Assign and verify raw materials, packaging, and labeling during production
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation for all quality activities
Support investigations related to non-conformances alongside the QC Manager
Assist in the development and improvement of quality methods and procedures
Mostly seated position with light lifting
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
Ability to work under pressure and in potentially stressful conditions
High School diploma or GED required
1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred(pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, chemical, cosmetic, or electronics industries)
Mechanical aptitude; prior packaging experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Basic math, algebra, and computer skills required
Experience with FDA and cGMP compliance preferred
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow procedures independently
Ability and willingness to learn variable processes
Hair nets, beard nets (if applicable), gloves, and lab coats required and provided
No jewelry permitted except rings (gloves are worn)
Tasteful tattoos acceptable
No worn, ragged, or baggy clothing (clothing may get dusty)
Non-skid shoes required (any color); jeans acceptable
Must never smell like smoke due to product sensitivity
Background check required
Strong attendance and reliability expected
