Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and motivated Production Associate to support a fast-paced sign and print production operation. This hands-on role is responsible for producing, finishing, and installing high-quality signage while delivering professional, courteous customer service.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable operating a variety of production equipment while collaborating with a team to meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Mask, weed, and apply vinyl to various substrates

• Use production tools such as X-Acto knives, tape measures, rulers, and related equipment efficiently and safely

• Load and operate hot and cold pressure laminators following standard safety procedures

• Load, cut, and manage vinyl on plotters

• Output digital rigid and roll signage

• Operate vertical panel saws, board trimmers, print trimmers, and other finishing equipment using proper safety protocols

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on production machines

• Maintain machinery, tools, and equipment; manage machine logs and coordinate vendor maintenance or repair calls

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality control standards are met

• Greet customers and answer phones in a professional and knowledgeable manner

• Travel to local job sites to preview work areas, provide estimates, and install signage

• Apply vehicle wraps, vehicle graphics, and window graphics

• Maintain accurate inventory of stock and supplies

• Complete required training including Front Counter Sales, Sign Product Training, and Sign Production Techniques

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop floor and store appearance

• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications & Skills

Technical & Industry Skills

• Experience with wide-format imaging, including roll and rigid printing and precision finishing

• Working knowledge of RIP software and color management

• Computer proficiency with willingness to learn new software programs

• Ability to pass basic math and spelling tests

Education & Experience

• Required: High School Diploma

• Preferred: Certifications or experience in Print, Sign Production, or Creative Design

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the sign or print production industry preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry over 50 lbs

• Ability to climb ladders while lifting signage

• Ability to retrieve and place materials on substrate racks, including upper shelves

• Must be in good physical condition to meet job demands

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years driving experience

• Ability to commute to Stuart, FL 34997 (required)

• Ability to relocate to Stuart, FL 34997 prior to start date (required)
