Medical Waste Plant Technician

Located in Memphis, TN

Job Summary:
This position is in a medical waste treatment facility. The employee will assist with the handling and processing of regulated medical waste using industrial equipment while following strict safety and compliance procedures. The work is physical and can be dirty at times. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

This is not light warehouse work. Candidates must clearly understand the work environment and job expectations before being submitted.

Essential Duties:
 -  Load medical waste containers into treatment carts.
 -  Assist with autoclave and compaction equipment; training will be provided.
 -  Clean and sanitize carts, tubs, and work areas.
 -  Follow all safety, PPE, and compliance procedures.
 -  Maintain a clean and organized work area.
 -  Evening shift employee must be able to work independently.
