Position Title:  Quality Engineer 

Location:  Pflugerville, Texas 78660 (In person, NOT remote/hybrid)

Pay Rate:  $25.00 - $30.00/HR 

Schedule:  7:00 am to 03:30 pm. Monday to Friday

Job Summary:

Our client is primarily an anodizing specialist for the semiconductor industry, using systems to enhance metal finishing
coating, engraving, and heat treating.

The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for client-facing engineering solution development and implementation, and supports day-to-day activities surrounding the operation of the client(s) quality system, supplier QA, design assurance, and manufacturing QA.

This is a good position for someone who has 2 to 4 years of "consecutive experience".

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collecting test data, data entry, and drafting quality reports.
  • Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
  • Creating and maintaining company inspection reports.
  • Preparing & maintaining NCR, and CAR records.
  • Communicating with the customer regarding product quality or design issues.
  • Writing and reviewing Quality Procedures and Forms.
  • Assisting quality engineers with internal & external Audits.
  • Ensuring test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
  • Maintaining the Quality Procedures, Training, and Quality Database 
  • Works with a positive attitude and reports all questions or problems to the Team Lead or Supervisor.
  • Manage workload with a positive attitude as a team player in a collaborative work environment.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications:

Education:

  • College diploma in mechanical or industrial technology, quality control, or related area preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment, including 1-year writing procedures intended for the assembly line

Technical Skills:

  • Certificate in quality assurance

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read and write to complete required forms
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
  • Spanish speaker is a plus
  • Preparing & maintaining NCR, and CAR records.
  • Think ahead and can see the big picture when planning new manufacturing processes. 
  • Identifying strategic changes that will have big impacts
  • Know how to run a project from start to finish. This often includes working with other teams
  • Approach a process while considering it from all angles.

Work Environment:

  • Could be exposed to temperature changes and noise. 
  • Will work around chemicals with potential splash exposure near process lines.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds frequently during shift.
  • Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
