Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Seasonal Tax Preparer to join one of our clients for the busy tax season. The ideal candidate will assist clients in preparing and filing accurate federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and/or small business tax returns using approved tax software.
• Review financial records, receipts, and other documentation provided by clients.
• Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
• Identify potential deductions and credits to maximize client refunds.
• Answer client questions regarding tax preparation and filing processes.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple client files during peak season.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
• Prior experience in tax preparation or completion of a tax preparation course is a plus.
• Familiarity with tax software and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during tax season.
