Sawmill Machine Operator

Located in Smithfield, NC

Salary: $18/hr

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines, hand tools, and other equipment to fabricate and build components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and AutoCAD designs to ensure precise machining.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions of finished products.
• Assist in the setup of machinery for production runs, including adjustments as needed for quality control.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues that arise during the machining process.
• Follow all company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and familiarity with machining processes.
• Experience with hand tools and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD software for interpreting designs is preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurements using calipers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous experience in millwork or similar manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Must be bilingual.
