Duties:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and project documents to determine door types, hardware requirements, and installation needs.
- Perform site measurements or coordinate with field staff to verify dimensions and job conditions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain accurate pricing for doors, frames, hardware, and specialty components.
- Develop and submit bids, proposals, and quotes within deadlines.
Requirements:
- Experience in the door industry, construction estimating, or related trade preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and basic computer applications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
