Maintenance Technician

Located in Ames, IA

Express Employment Professionals of Ames, IA has partnered with a local company located in Boone, IA who is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician!

The main responsibility in this role is ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following diagrams, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

This is a long-term, full-time position starting at $20/hr.

Environment:

• This is a 1st shift schedule, Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm. Occasional overtime is available
• Candidate must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating with various departments

Duties:

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as needed
• Perform general repairs to plant structures
• Troubleshoot machinery to support the production staff
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning

Skills/Experience Needed:

• 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions and schematics in English
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
