Braider/General Laborer

Our client in Marion is looking for a Braider/General Laborer!

 

This position’s purpose is to support their production team in a manufacturing environment specializing in industrial braiding and harness assembly. This role is essential to maintaining efficient production flow, ensuring quality braided components, and supporting manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and comfortable working with machinery while contributing to a clean, organized, and safety-focused workplace.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Operate industrial braiding machines, including performing machine starts, stops, breakouts, and monitoring for loose braid or defects.
• Load materials, thread carriers, and adjust machine settings to meet production and quality requirements.
• Assemble simple harnesses and braided components with minimal supervision while following work instructions and specifications.
• Will assist and cooperate with management to obtain any necessary information when analyzing, establishing, or updating production standards.
• Ensure that containers are not loaded heavier than a “manageable” weight (i.e.: approximately 20 pounds or less).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine cleaning of machines and surrounding workspace.
• Follow all safety guidelines, quality standards, and company procedures to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.

 

Qualifications:
• High School or GED
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend consistently
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

 

Pay: $17.00

Hours: 6:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Thursday
