Express in Allen TX is seeking an HR Administrative Assistant that provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, front desk reception, and support a 20 person office. This role ensures smooth execution of HR processes including employee records, onboarding, compliance, coordination, and internal communication. The position requires high attention to detail, confidentiality, and a service-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Operations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (digital and physical)
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes (documentation, system access coordination, orientation logistics)
- Assist with background checks, offer letters, and employment verification
- Track employee attendance, leave requests, and PTO balances
- Maintain HR calendars, meetings, and key deadlines
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure HR files are compliant with company policies and labor regulations
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and policy acknowledgments
- Support benefits administration documentation and employee enrollments
- Maintain confidentiality of all employee and company information
Employee Support
- Act as first point of contact for basic HR inquiries
- Direct employees to appropriate HR resources, policies, or leaders
- Assist with internal communications and HR announcements
- Support employee engagement activities and events
- Front Desk Reception client visit greeting.
Systems & Reporting
- Update HRIS systems and internal trackers accurately and timely
- Prepare basic HR reports (headcount, attrition, onboarding status, PTO)
- Support data accuracy for payroll and benefits coordination
General Administrative Support
- Assist HR leadership with presentations, documents, and correspondence
- Coordinate with Finance, IT, and Operations on people-related processes
- Support special HR projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in HR administration or office administration
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Basic understanding of HR processes and employment practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Rippling, ADP, Workday)
- Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance basics
- Experience supporting a growing or fast-paced organization
