Superintendent

Located in Lakewood Ranch, FL

Position Overview: 

Supervision and management of the construction worksite including field personnel, trades, and subcontractors.  Work directly with contract administrators, project accountants, and project managers for timely completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Coordination and scheduling of on-site construction activities.
• Constant review and inspection of the work – quality control.
• Continuous interface with trades/subcontractors to respond to questions and coordination issues.
• Documentation
  • Update As-Built drawings
  • Complete daily job report
  • Field correspondence
• Conduct pre-installation meetings on-site, in advance of work activities.
• Perform regular evaluation and enforcement of on-site safety policies.
• Secure the project site.
• Manage daily construction activities of the jobsite.
• Schedule equipment and material deliveries and placement.
• Supervise employees, trades, and subcontractors as needed.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Education and Experience:

• BS in Construction, Business or related field OR in lieu of degree 5+ years of progressive experience managing construction projects

Required Skills:

• Proficient with Sage, PlanGrid, or similar construction software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
