Job Summary

The Part-Time Housekeeping Inspector is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and common areas meet established cleanliness, quality, and safety standards. This role involves inspecting completed housekeeping work, identifying deficiencies, and coordinating with housekeeping staff to ensure timely corrections. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect guest rooms, restrooms, and common areas for cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation

  • Ensure housekeeping work meets company standards, brand guidelines, and safety requirements

  • Document inspection results and report deficiencies to housekeeping staff or management

  • Follow up to confirm corrective actions are completed in a timely manner

  • Identify maintenance or safety issues and report them to the appropriate department

  • Assist with training housekeeping staff on quality standards and best practices as needed

  • Maintain accurate inspection records and checklists

  • Support overall housekeeping operations during peak periods when necessary

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or quality inspection preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and management

  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments

  • Basic knowledge of cleaning standards, supplies, and safety procedures

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate items throughout the shift
