Position Overview

The Production Engineering – Maintenance Technician II supports manufacturing operations by maintaining equipment reliability, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with continuous improvement activities. This role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their technical and mechanical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations by participating in PDCA countermeasure activities

  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and ensure maintenance areas meet cleanliness standards

  • Work on task board items and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Identify and repair equipment issues based on direction from senior technicians and management

  • Document all work performed in the work order tracking system

  • Assist senior technicians and engineers with improvement projects

  • Participate in daily maintenance and repair activities to ensure machine reliability

  • Collaborate with production associates to understand equipment issues and resource needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of on-the-job training in maintenance or engineering fields

    • OR a 2-year or 4-year degree in a technical field in lieu of OJT

  • Basic to entry-level industrial maintenance knowledge

  • Understanding of AC/DC electronic power controls, safety circuits, and schematic tracing

  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotics, pneumatics, PLC, and robotic systems

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment using mechanical and electrical tools

  • Experience using tools such as drills, multimeters, power supplies, and robot teach pendants

  • Ability to communicate effectively with production associates and technical teams

  • Hand or robotic soldering experience

  • Lean Manufacturing training or familiarity

Preferred:

  • Experience reading electrical and mechanical circuit diagrams

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) experience

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment approximately 8 hours per day

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
