Position Summary

The Paint & Caulking Technician is a skilled trade position responsible for high-end finishing work within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on precision painting, touch-up, and sealant application to ensure products meet strict quality, aesthetic, and durability standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, steady hand skills, and experience working with paints, coatings, and caulking materials in a production or fabrication setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed painting, touch-up, and finishing work on manufactured products and components

• Apply caulking and sealants accurately to seams, joints, and surfaces to meet quality and appearance standards

• Inspect finished products for defects, inconsistencies, or surface imperfections and correct as needed

• Prepare surfaces for finishing, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming

• Maintain consistent finish quality across production runs

• Follow work instructions, blueprints, and quality specifications

• Operate and maintain painting and finishing tools and equipment safely

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards

• Communicate with supervisors and quality teams regarding finish requirements or concerns

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in painting, finishing, caulking, or sealant application (manufacturing or skilled trade environment preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and finishing materials

• Ability to work with precision tools and hand equipment

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards

• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand motions

• Ability to lift materials as required by the job

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production facility

• Exposure to paints, coatings, and sealants (PPE provided)
