Temporary Tax Preparer

Salary: BOE (Based on Experience)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced tax preparers for a local accounting firm to assist during the busy tax season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state tax returns (individual and/or business)
• Review tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
• Communicate with clients as needed
• Use tax preparation software efficiently

Qualifications

• Prior tax preparation experience required
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Experience with tax software (Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and deadline management
• PTIN required; EA or CPA a plus
