Our Express Employment Professionals franchise group is searching for a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Department! This role will provide marketing support for 5 Express Employment offices in Eastern MN and Western WI.

As a Marketing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for designing graphics, crafting copy, targeting ads, distributing emails, maintaining websites, and reviewing analytics to determine success strategies. Cross training in all areas of the Marketing Department, the Marketing Specialist and Marketing Manager will work side-by-side and complete similar tasks in a collaborative setting. 

A Day in the Life of a Marketing Specialist

A day in the life of a Marketing Specialist may include creating a job post for social media, wrapping up a flyer for an upcoming job fair, updating an email signature block template for a new hire, and responding to online reviews. Each day on the job is filled with variety, and splitting time and priority tasks evenly between offices is an important part of this role.

Consistent Creativity and Feedback

Consistent creativity is also a key component of this position, and we’re searching for a Marketing Specialist who brings enthusiasm for advertising and design, as well as an interest in marketing and social media trends. Offices will rely on the Marketing Specialist to be an idea-generator and a source of knowledge when it comes to creating standout marketing materials for their team.

Creating marketing initiatives for 5 different offices, the Marketing Specialist will regularly receive feedback from the Marketing Manager, Franchise Owners, and General Managers on designs and copy. Successful candidates will be able to review and critique their own work, implement feedback notes from management, and strive to make each piece of marketing collateral better than the last.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Salary: $55,000-$60,000/year

Location and Work Environment

As a department of two managing marketing initiatives for 5 offices, regular communication and collaboration is a critical part of this role. An in-office environment allows for quick feedback on designs, regular training, and prioritization conversations to keep the department schedule on track.

Our River Falls office includes:

• Clean, cozy office environment

This position requires occasional travel to our franchise group’s 4 other Express Employment offices, located in Eastern MN and Western WI. Travel to these other offices will generally take place on a monthly schedule, with potential for additional travel depending on the needs of each individual office during that season. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Engage and correspond as each office across social media platforms
• Design graphics and write copy for social media posts for each office
• Draft and send mass email communications for each office
• Create materials for digital and print use for each office including, but not limited to, sales flyers, job fair flyers, holiday cards, signs, website graphics, and more
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to create monthly content calendars for offices with a mix of photo and video content
• Generate ideas for upcoming flyers, events, videos, social posts, and more
• Review and analyze projects and implement feedback from ownership and management

Skills and Qualifications

• Associate Degree (required) or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, or related field
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritizing projects according to the department content calendar
• Graphic design experience and knowledge of design principles
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Canva software
• B2B professional storytelling and copywriting experience
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback on marketing projects
• Experience operating social media business pages
• SEO optimization experience
• Knowledge of analytics tools
