Salary: $19/hr

Our client in Hiawatha is currently seeking a Forklift / Warehouse Associate to join their team. This position plays a key role in the daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations to ensure accurate and efficient product flow.

General Job Duties

Include, but are not limited to:

• Facilitate and carry out tasks related to daily warehouse shipping and receiving operations

• Accurately transfer product, both physically and logically, into and out of warehouse locations

• Load and unload trailers and company vehicles using powered industrial equipment

• Move product throughout the facility using a sit-down forklift and other material-handling equipment

• Accurately pull, assemble, and ship customer orders

• Inspect incoming materials for condition and quality before placement into inventory

• Properly place received product and materials in designated warehouse locations

• Notify Purchasing and Sales when orders cannot be filled or when inventory levels appear low

• Verify product descriptions, condition, quantities, and nomenclature

• Complete cycle counts and inventory checks in a timely and accurate manner

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse

• Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

• Experience with receiving, kitting, and shipping tasks

• Valid forklift certification with recent sit-down forklift experience

• Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift

• Assemble and fill orders to be shipped to customers or other divisions

• Load and unload common carriers and company vehicles

• Process shipment paperwork, including verifying merchandise accuracy, applying correct shipping labels, and following customer shipping instructions

• Gather assembled orders, verify quantities and descriptions, and record totals on invoices

• Verify shipped quantities and items against invoices

• Substitute for other warehouse personnel when needed

• Use of scanner and Warehouse Management System (WMS) for order picking and material put-away after receipt

• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

• Minimum of one year of warehouse and/or powered industrial lift experience required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to read, perform basic math, and understand written and verbal instructions

Pay: 

• $19/hr

Hours: 

• 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Monday – Friday
