Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

General Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to join our behavioral health center in Edinburg, TX. This position is responsible for processing claims, reviewing physician notes, maintaining general ledger accounts, and performing invoicing and reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. Work involves close attention to detail and requires both independent initiative and teamwork to prioritize and complete assignments efficiently.

Education, Training, and Experience (including licensure and certification):

• High school diploma required.
• CBCS (Certified Billing & Coding Specialist) certification is required.
• Knowledge of medical coding and ability to review physician notes for accuracy and appropriateness of services and codes.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a general medical office or primary care/behavioral health setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of medical billing, reimbursement principles, and documentation procedures.
• Advanced computer skills with Windows-based systems and office software.
• Ability to perform detailed research, compile billing data, and prepare accurate reports.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and safe driving record.
