International Tier 1 automotive supplier is looking to add an experienced 2nd shift Supervisor to their team of Warehouse Logistics professionals in Sterling Heights, MI. If you have what it takes to lead a Team to accelerate our client's vision, we want to talk with you!
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Guarantee proper inspection, material handling, and 100% on time delivery for finished product.
- Maintain safety and functional operation through proper supervision and management of personnel.
- Develop and maintain productive working relations with associates.
- Lead training sessions
- Coordinate shipments to customer in accordance with SOP
- Perform audits of processes to ensure process integrity
- Support payroll, PTO, and manage overtime
- Provide ideas for process and efficiency improvements
- Complete and maintain all required KPI, production, and safety reports
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications:
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Strong experience with people management, warehouse operations, logistics, and distribution center processes
- High school diploma or GED, post High school education highly preferred
- Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, storage, sequencing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control
- Proficient with computers, MS Office, WMS
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
