Local Manufacturing Company looking for a Payroll/Admin Assistant to join their team.

This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll. This person will verify employee’s vacation/sick accruals, review employee hours prior to payroll transmission making necessary adjustments and investigate and resolve payroll processing errors.


Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Process bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll for ~160 employees
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, etc.
  • Stay current with wage & hour tax laws
  • Enter employee time off requests into payroll system and applicable calendars
  • Prepare onboarding packets for new hire orientations
  • Make sure employee forms are available, making copies, checking breakroom to make sure time off requests are available
  • Assist with reporting requests
  • Provide general administrative support to manufacturing facility

Qualifications:

  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience using ADP payroll system preferred
  • Working knowledge of garnishments preferred
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task without compromising efficiency
  • Ability to work with interruptions
  • Must possess a high organizational ability with focus on attention to detail
  • Must be able to prioritize and be self-motivated
  • Windows operating environment and MS Office products (Excel and Word)

 

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay starts at $25 per hour may go up based on skills and experience.
  • Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts (3 day weekends)
