Childcare Worker – Education Center, Pharr, TX

Pay: $10/hour | Hiring: Immediate

Hours of Operation:

• Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Schedule:

• Employees will have a set schedule; schedules do not rotate weekly
• Position is primarily full-time (40 hours/week), but part-time availability may be considered

 

An Education Center in Pharr, TX, is seeking caring and reliable Childcare Workers to provide supervision, safety, and developmental support for children from infants through school-age. This is a hands-on role in a structured, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise children at all times (infants–school-age) in accordance with Texas Minimum Standards
• Support daily routines such as diapering, restroom assistance, meals/snacks, hygiene, and classroom transitions
• Assist with age-appropriate learning, enrichment, and homework activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and staff
• Complete required documentation including attendance and incident/accident reports
• Provide supervision during after-school programs, holidays, and school closures

Classroom Age Groups & Duties:

• Infants (0–17 months): Diapering, bottle feeding, sanitization, crib checks
• Toddlers (18–35 months): Potty training support, routines, transitions
• Preschool (3–5 years): Learning support, behavior guidance, classroom activities
• After Schoolers (5–12 years): Homework support, structured activities, supervision

Requirements:

• Must meet Texas Minimum Standards & complete 30 hours of annual training
• Pre-Service Training required before independent classroom work
• Background check clearance
• Ability to follow all state childcare licensing and safety protocols
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
