Job Summary: A resort-style hotel in the Florida Keys is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Houseman to support the Housekeeping Department. This role plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall guest experience throughout the property. The ideal candidate is physically active, service-minded, and takes pride in keeping hotel common areas clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

 

Responsibilities:

• Support housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms and service areas
• Clean and maintain public areas including hallways, elevators, lobbies, stairwells, restrooms, and employee areas
• Remove trash and soiled linens from housekeeping carts and designated areas
• Assist with room turnovers as needed (e.g., light cleaning, vacuuming, restocking)
• Maintain cleanliness of storage rooms, laundry areas, and supply closets
• Respond promptly to guest and housekeeping requests in a courteous and professional manner
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items to management
• Follow hotel safety standards, cleaning procedures, and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with special projects, deep cleaning, or seasonal resort needs as assigned

Schedule & Pay:

• Schedule: All Shifts Available
• Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 P/H Depending on Experience

Qualifications:

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and remain on feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Positive attitude with a strong sense of teamwork and guest service
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
• Comfortable working in a tropical, resort-style environment
