Timber Cruiser

Located in tigard, OR

We are seeking a Timber Cruiser to support timber valuation and timberland appraisal projects. This role combines fieldwork and office-based analysis, using GIS tools to collect, analyze, and visualize forestry and geographic data. The ideal candidate has a background in Forestry or Natural Resources and enjoys working both outdoors and with data.

Job Duties

• Conduct timber cruising to assess species, volume, and quality
• Perform timber valuation and assist with timberland appraisals
• Collect field data and ensure accurate documentation
• Use GIS software to collect, store, analyze, and visualize geographic data
• Create maps, reports, and supporting materials for appraisal projects
• Verify field data accuracy and reconcile discrepancies
• Collaborate with project managers and appraisal staff
• Maintain organized records of field and GIS data
