Salary: $17/hr.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Freight Specialist to support our shipping and logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating outgoing freight shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. This is not a production role—all materials are prepackaged, and there is no direct product exposure.
Prepare and process domestic and/or international freight shipments
Coordinate shipments with carriers and freight providers
Generate and maintain accurate shipping documentation
Ensure shipments comply with applicable freight and hazmat regulations
Track shipments and resolve shipping issues or discrepancies
Maintain organized shipping records and logs
Communicate with internal teams regarding shipping schedules and requirements
Support general freight and logistics tasks as needed
General freight shipping experience preferred
Hazmat shipping experience is a plus but not required (training provided)
Understanding of shipping regulations is helpful, especially for hazardous materials
Computer literate with basic proficiency in Excel and shipping software systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow complex procedures and regulations accurately
Good communication and problem-solving skills
