Billing/Financial Specialist:

Job Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients/patients regarding billing, financials, and insurance coverage

• Schedule and confirm patient appointments

• Communicate with insurance companies to verify benefits and determine coverage

• Clearly explain insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility

• Collect payments from patients and process transactions accurately

• Code dental and medical procedures (ICD-10 preferred)

• Submit claims and bill insurance companies in a timely manner

• Perform billing, data entry, and account reconciliation

• Oversee and support office staff as needed

• Work with vendors and order office/dental supplies

• Maintain accurate financial and patient records

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience REQUIRED (Dental billing experience strongly preferred)

• Knowledge of Dental Coding & Medical Billing/Coding

• Experience working with insurance companies

• Strong computer skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• QuickBooks experience is a plus

• Previous office management experience with an accounting background preferred

• Strong customer service and people skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Pleasant, friendly personality

• Team player with the ability to multitask in a busy office
