Truck Driver
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Furniture Delivery & Warehouse Associate. This role is a combination of delivery, warehouse, and assembly work, providing an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and customer interaction. The ideal candidate will be dependable, physically capable, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced team environment and must be available to travel to the Florida Keys.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles (straight trucks, box trucks, or tractor-trailers) to transport medical equipment and supplies to assigned destinations.
- Load, secure, and unload medical equipment, ensuring items are protected and handled with care during transport.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using GPS and company routing software to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, delivery confirmations, and condition reports.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, healthcare facility staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
- Follow all federal, state, and local regulations related to commercial driving and the transportation of medical goods.
- Provide excellent customer service, including basic assistance in placing equipment if required (and within company policy).
Schedule & Pay:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Pay: $16.00 P/H opportunity for pay increases based on performance
Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screening checks.
- Ability to lift and secure safely (often up to 50+ lbs).
- Familiarity with GPS and basic delivery logistics technology.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in delivery, trucking, or logistics preferred; experience handling medical equipment is a plus but not always required.
