Belt Fabricator Technician

Located in Kentwood, MI

Salary: $18-20/hr DOE

Belt Fabricator Technician Job Summary: Do you love working with your Hands? Are you looking to develop a skilled trade and start career in manufacturing? Come work at the Nation’s leading full service distributor and fabricator specializing in the fulfillment of conveyor system requirements for the processing, manufacturing, and material handling industry. The product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products.

 

Belt Fabricator Technician Requirements:

• Build/repair belts and conveyor belt components 
• Install and vulcanize lightweight conveyor belting
• Operating machines such as belt slitting machine, power lacer, rotary knife slitter, cutters, skiver, punches
• Reading and understanding blueprints and work orders to accurately fabricate the conveyor belt
• Operate a forklift (stand up and sit down) and pallet jacks as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist in other areas as requested

Schedule & Pay:

• 1^st shift 5 am-3:30pm with overtime as required during the week
• $18.00-$20.00/HR with experience

Belt Fabricator Technician Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to details
• Excellent measuring skills with ability to measure to 1/16”
• Able read blueprints
• Able to read work orders
• Basic math skills and mechanical skills
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Able to do physical work including walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling as required
• Able to lift up to 70lbs independently
• Some experience with MS Office applicants and ERP
• Valid driver’s license and able to pass a driving background check
• High school diploma or equivalent
