Farm Equipment Mechanic

Location: Bonanaza, OR
Pay: $25+/hr DOE 
Schedule: Full-time 

 

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Equipment Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, takes pride in their work, and can work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on farm equipment (tractors, harvesters, loaders, implements, etc.)

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability

• Keep accurate service and repair records

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Occasionally travel to field locations for on-site repairs

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a farm equipment mechanic or similar mechanical role

• Strong knowledge of agricultural machinery and diesel engines

• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift heavy equipment parts and work in outdoor conditions

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred (but not required):

• Technical certification or vocational training

• Welding experience

• CDL (a plus)
