Agent Tax Specialist

Location: Shreveport, LA

Pay: $22–$25 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Agent Tax Specialist to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This role is responsible for multi-state payroll tax preparation and administration in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll tax knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy and urgency.

• Basic payroll knowledge and payroll processing and the different taxes:

• Form 941 – Federal Withholding and SS/Med (EE Withholding)

• Form 940 – Federal Unemployment – Employer Expense

• State Withholding – EE withholding

• SUTA – State unemployment with understanding of various wage bases and rates. –
  Employer expense some states with EE withholding

• Local Taxes – OH, PA, KY, MI, GA, and other states with local taxes. Accounting degree and/or 5+ years of experience in multi-state payroll tax preparation
  and administration.

      Qualifications

• Tech savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications.

• Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Ability to operate with a sense of urgency.

• High level attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position.

• Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow
