Type: Temporary, with potential for transition to a permanent position.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Job Details: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for conducting scheduled cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of product records. This role ensures inventory integrity by identifying discrepancies, investigating root causes, and supporting continuous improvement within the warehouse or distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform continuous inventory counts following established inventory control procedures.
• Accurately record quantities, lot numbers, locations, and item details during counts.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction histories, shipment records, and system data.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership, purchasing, and production teams to resolve issues related to inventory accuracy.
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all cycle count results and adjustments.
• Assist in periodic inventory audits.
• Monitor and report on inventory variances, damaged goods, mis-picks, and storage issues.
• Work with warehouse leadership to ensure that all inventory is stored in correct locations and adheres to warehouse standards.
• Ability to learn warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, scanners, and inventory tools to update records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and streamline inventory processes.
• Comply with all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or related fields.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Basic math and computer skills, including knowledge of Excel and inventory software.
• Ability to learn app-based programs.
• Ability to learn to use mobile equipment as required such as forklifts, etc. Training to be provided.
• Ability to operate scanners and other material-handling equipment (training may be provided).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred
• Experience with ERP or WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan).
• Knowledge of inventory control principles such as FIFO, cycle counting methods, and root-cause analysis.
• Forklift certification.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift products (typically up to 40–50 lbs.).
• Comfortable working in warehouse environments, which may include temperature variations.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
• Comfortable working at heights.
