Shipping and Receiving Associate Department: Warehouse / Operations Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager Job Summary The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing, receiving, and processing incoming and outgoing shipments. This role ensures accurate handling of products, maintains inventory records, and supports efficient warehouse operations while following safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Shipping Prepare, package, label, and ship outgoing orders accurately and on time Process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and WorldShip shipping systems Generate shipping labels, tracking numbers, and required documentation Verify shipment contents against packing lists and shipping documents Schedule pickups with carriers and prepare bills of lading and shipping paperwork Ensure proper handling of fragile, hazardous, or time-sensitive materials Maintain clean and organized shipping areas Receiving Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage Match received goods to purchase orders and packing slips Record and report discrepancies, shortages, or damages Properly store materials in designated warehouse locations Update inventory and receiving records in warehouse management systems Inventory & Warehouse Support Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts Maintain accurate inventory levels and locations Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts Follow all safety procedures and company policies Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience with UPS, FedEx, and WorldShip required Prior shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or shipping software Ability to read shipping documents and follow instructions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse environment Skills & Competencies Time management and multitasking Communication and teamwork Problem-solving abilities Dependability and reliability Work Schedule Full-time Overtime as required during peak periods
