Junior Design Engineer | Direct Hire, Full-Time

Location: Berlin, CT

Pay rate: $55,000-70,000/year

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create and modify CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or similar tools.
• Assist in design reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers.
• Support prototype development and design validation.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and tolerance analyses.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
• Follow design standards and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other engineering teams to solve issues.
• Participate in product testing and support design improvements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of design or engineering experience (internships/projects count).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, CATIA).
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to use shop math
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
